The TROPA NG KABATAANG PINOY SA DEUTSCHLAND is a Filipino youth group in Germany under the auspices of the Filipino Mission to the Archdiocese of Cologne, headed by Fr. Tranquilino "Jun" de Ocampo, SVD, as Chaplain.
The "Tropa", as it is fondly called, was formed in October 2004 to gather and unite the Filipino youth in the Archdiocese and organize their participation in the World Youth Day (WYD) held in Cologne in August 2005.
Its primary aims are to provide an opportunity for the youth to deepen their faith, strengthen their roots as Filipinos, to empower them as active members of the community and to provide assistance to those in need.
Since its creation, the Tropa has proven to be an innovative group who organized different activities such as pilgrimage to Taize, Flohmarkt stands, Easter Bazaar, theater play and the hugely successful Fiesta ng Kabataang Pinoy.
